Disparities, Perceived Discrimination, and Patient-Clinician Communication in Alcohol Use Disorder Treatment: An All of Us Cohort Study
Using data from the All of Us Research Program, this study found that while insurance coverage (particularly military) is the strongest predictor of alcohol use disorder treatment receipt, perceived discrimination in healthcare and patient-clinician communication also play significant roles, with communication barriers disproportionately affecting individuals with lower incomes.
